Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante set for transfer meeting with Saudi representatives as potential €100m move surfaces
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is reportedly being targeted for a potential move to Saudi Arabia, where he could become a teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo. The French midfielder is nearing the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is set to become a free agent this summer. While there were initial discussions about a contract extension at Chelsea, no agreement has been reached.
According to Fabrizio Romano, representatives from Middle Eastern teams have traveled to England for talks with Kante. It is reported that Kante has received an offer that could amount to €100 million (£86m/$107m) when considering image rights and commercial deals.
Among the interested parties are Al-Nassr, a club that currently boasts five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad. Additionally, Al-Ittihad, the winners of the Saudi Pro League, are also pursuing Kante and are closing in on a deal for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
Since joining Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016, Kante has made 269 appearances for the club, winning numerous titles, including the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup, Club World Cup, and FA Cup.
